Meet the Team
Taylor Larsen
Taylor is a husband, father of 4, loves maps and works in supply chain. So Adventure Racing just made sense!
Taylor’s first race was in 2022 when he signed up for the Shenandoah Epic and has been hooked ever since. He’s done nearly 20 races since then and started race directing in 2025 (East Fork Challenge). His favorite races have been 2024 USARA Nationals and The Hard Fall in Vermont.
Jason Martin
Jason enjoys hanging out with his wife and playing music at his church.
His first adventure race was the FIG in 2022 and has been addicted to racing them since.
He has done a few multi day ARs including Expedition Alaska and many shorter ones.
Karl Nielson
Karl has a beautiful and supportive wife without whom none of these adventure racing shenanigans would be possible. They have 5 great and exuberant kids and 2 dogs who accompany them on their adventures supporting Karl as an occupational medicine physician in the United States Air Force. He’s been with Taylor since before their questionable decision to do a 24 hr race as their first, and looks forward to seeing where it takes them.
Chad Marler
Chad’s wife calls him a “Boy Scout Racer.” As the team socialite if you’ve raced against Chad you’ve probably talked to him and he probably gave you an unsolicited hint or asked you for one. Chad prides himself on his endurance primarily playing the role of punch monkey. Chad is always ready to lend a hand, carry extra gear, and keep the team moving. It is his near impossible goal to get Taylor to smile or laugh once per race on camera. Be sure to say hi to Chad if you see him at a race, but he likely already talked to you.
